This guide describes how to onboard Zaptec chargers with Tap for a specific case: when a Management Company (ManCo) is taking over the Zaptec location from a builder who has already added the Tap Electric URL to the charger. In this case, the ManCo simply needs to add the chargers their own Tap Electric account.

Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger
Select Zaptec (for ManCos).
Click Enter Charger ID.
Enter the Zaptec serial number and click OK.
After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
QR stickers
Don't forget: if the builder has already installed QR stickers on the chargers, make sure to link them to each charger as part of onboarding. You can find instructions for this and more in the Quick Start Guide.
