This guide describes how to onboard ETAPpro chargers with Tap.

To connect ETAPpro chargers, you will need access to the ETAPpro portal. This uses the same login details as your ETAPpro app.

  1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger

  2. Select ETAPpro.

  3. Copy the URL provided.

  4. Navigate to the ETAPpro portal at https://my.etap.pro and login with the same credentials you use in the app.

  5. In the home screen, click "Add charger"

  6. Enter your charger serial number found on the back of the charger. Click Continue.

  7. Enter the charger access code found on the passport card (with the QR code) that came with the charger. Click Continue.

  8. Now in the charger detail screen, click Edit Charger.

  9. Enter your desired charger name.

  10. Set OCPP to "ON".

  11. Beside "CPO Endpoint", tick on "Custom".

  12. Paste the URL you copied from the Tap app.

Double check second slash

Attention! Double check the forward slash (“/”) is present at the end of the copied URL, or else the charger will not connect.

Example: wss://ocpp.tapelectric.app/2xmdirgrgt8a8/

  1. Click Save.
  2. Restart the charger by unplugging it from power and then plugging it back in.
  3. Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
