Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap's charger backoffice. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
To connect Autel chargers, you will need access to an Autel account with the Autel Config app. Note that there are different versions of the Autel app, and it may affect how you enter the Tap URL in that app - read the below instructions carefully.
1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger
2. Select Autel AC.
3. Copy your unique URL from the Tap app or webportal.
4. Go to the Autel Config app and login with your Autel credentials.
5. Add your charger, either by scanning the QR code on the charger or using the charger's serial number and PIN.
6. Select the charger you have just added.
7. Connect to Bluetooth and Wifi.
8. Select "OCPP Server"

9. For older versions of the Autel app you may need to enter the Tap URL as per the following example. Note that your Server Path will be different than than the one in this example. If the URL you copied from Tap looks like: wss://ocpp.tapelectric.app:443/ServerPath123/
Then your Server Path will be /ServerPath123/

Pay special attention to the slashes before and after the Server Path as shown. Do not use the server path number shown in this example, use the one you found in your own account in Tap.
10. Click "Connect". The Autel app may display a message that connection has failed – ignore this and return to the Tap app.
11. In the Tap app, after a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
