Autel AC onboarding guide

Easily connect and configure your Autel AC charger to Tap Electric’s free charger management platform with this guide.

To connect Autel chargers, you will need access to an Autel account with the Autel Config app. Note that there are different versions of the Autel app, and it may help to ensure you are on the most recent version.

1. Open the Autel Config app and login with your Autel credentials.

2. Add your charger, either by scanning the QR code on the charger or using the charger's serial number and PIN.

3. Select the charger you have just added.

4. Connect to Bluetooth and Wifi.

5. Select "OCPP Server" and choose: Tap Electric 2026

The charger will reboot itself, then you can head to the Tap app or webportal to continue the onboarding.


6. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger

7. Select Autel AC.

8. Enter the Autel Charger ID.

9. Click Ok.

10. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
