Injet (Eco - AC) onboarding guide

Easily connect and configure your Injet AC chargers to Tap Electric’s free charger management platform with this guide.

Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap's charger backoffice. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.

  1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger

2. Select Injet (Eco - AC).

3. Copy your unique URL from the Tap app or webportal.

4. Power up the Injet AC charger.

5. On your mobile phone, open your wifi settings. Select the network starting with "EVSE".

6. Open a browser on your mobile phone. Enter this IP in the address bar: 192.168.4.1

7. You will now be asked to enter a password. The password can be found on the sticker on the side of the charger. It is the last 8 digits as shown in the photo below. Enter these 8 characters and press Login.

8. You will be prompted to change your password. Change your password and login.

9. Open the General tab. Enter the charger ID under "SN" as shown in the photo.

10. Configure your desired internet settings in the WLAN and/or 4G tabs.

11. Open the OCPP tab. Select OCPP Version "OCPP 1.6".

12. In OCPP Server URL, past the URL you copied from the Tap app/webportal. Click Save.

13. Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding. If the charger does not appear in the Tap app within one minute, try rebooting the charger. The charger should then appear in Tap.
