Alpitronic Onboarding Guide

This guide describes how to onboard Alpitronic chargers with Tap.

To connect Alpitronic chargers, you will need access to the charger interface locally. See the hypercharger documentation for further details on how to do this.

  1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger

  2. Select Alpitronic.

  3. Copy the URL provided.

  4. Connect to the charger interface from your device and login.

  5. You can set your internet connectivity preferences by clicking on Network.

  6. If you are using a Tap SIM:

    1. Navigate to: Network > SIM > APN configuration

    2. In "APN", enter "Tapelectric"

    3. Select "No APN Authentication Required" and click Save Configuration.

    4. Navigate to Network > Preferred Network

    5. Change default network to "Mobile Connection" and click Change Network.

  7. Navigate to OCPP > BOOT.INI FILE

  8. Enter the following fields:

    1. chargePointIdentity: Enter the charger serial number
    2. msgEngineType: json
    3. WebSocketUrl: paste the URL you copied in the Tap app
  9. Click Save Configuration.

  10. Now reboot the charger by click Reset on the home page.

  11. Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
