How should I set up access for my holiday let?

  1. In Location Access, select Tap Users.
  2. In Location Visibility, select Only Nearby Users, and choose your Visibility range.
  3. Optionally, link QR stickers to your charger so that people can quickly find them in the app.

This setup will ensure that only people that already standing in front of your charger (such as your staff and visitors) are able to see it in the app and start a session.


How will my guests know how to download and use Tap to start their charge session?

There are 2 options:

  1. Tap can provide you with QR stickers for your chargers. You simply apply them to the charger or a nearby surface, and link them to your charger using the app. Then, your guest can scan the QR sticker, be sent to the app store, and then directed immediately to the charger in the app. To learn about how to link QR stickers to your charger, read the article on Charger Settings.
  2. If you do not want a QR sticker (for example, if your property is in a high traffic area and you do not want others to know how to start a session). If that's the case, you can simply tell your guests to download Tap Electric. We have marketing materials available such as flyers for your guests - reach out to sales@tapelectric.app if you need this.

How can I charge my own car for free, while collecting payments from my guests for their sessions?

You simply need to create a Driver Group tariff for yourself, and anyone else you want to apply a special tariff to (such as your family, staff, etc.). To learn how to do this, read the article on Driver Groups.
