This guide describes how to onboard Peblar chargers with Tap.
Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
To connect Peblar chargers, you will need:
- Charger internet via LAN cable, nano-SIM with open network or nano-SIM from Tap Electric
- Mobile phone or laptop
- Peblar quick start guide hard-copy
In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger
Select Peblar.
Copy the backoffice path provided.
Find the Peblar Quick Start Guide that came with the charger.
Connect to the charger wifi on your phone or laptop. On the Peblar Quick Start Guide, the network name is the Hostname and the password is the WLANPassword.
Open a web browser. Enter the Config page URL from the Peblar Quick Start Guide. Enter the Config page password if required. Click Get Started.
Configure your local wifi settings if needed.
Configure your charger electrical settings.
In Authorizations, select the Managed tab.
Set Backoffice to Tap Electric, according to the type of internet being used.
in "Backoffice path", paste the path you copied in Tap. Click Save and Next.
Click "Finish & reboot".
Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
