This guide describes how to onboard Schneider chargers with Tap.
Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
To connect Schneider chargers, you will need access to your Schneider EV Charging Expert portal.
Note: Schneider does not support OCPP smart charging profiles. Tap Charge Control programmes will therefore not work on Shneider chargers.
In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger
Select Schneider.
Copy the URL provided.
Login to the Schneider EV Charging Expert portal.
Install the station: ADMIN > Station Installation > Discover Stations
Set the station name and box Identity to the one desired. It is also possible to set the IP address.
Add the station to a zone: Admin > Zone/Station Configuration
Configure the supervision: Admin > Configuration > Remote Supervision
Turn Enable to ON.
In Remote Supervision URL Address, paste the URL you copied in the Tap app.
Click Save.
Reboot the charger.
Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
