Article summary

Tap allows messaging between Tap users to help optimize charger useage. For example, if you are in a rush and in need of a specific charger, you can message the driver currently plugged in to ask if you are able to get a charge soon.

There are two types of messaging in Tap:

  1. Direct messaging by license plate.
  2. Group messaging by location. Great for locations where it's often the same group of drivers charging frequently, such as workplace or residential locations.

  1. In the Home screen, click on the Tap Messaging icon in the top right corner
  2. My license plate > Next
  3. Enter your plate number

When sending your first message to another driver, they must accept your request before the screen turns into a chat.
