Activating your new Tap Tag
When you order a subscription with a Tap Tag, you will receive a letter in the mail containing your RFID Tag. When the Tag arrives, it is not yet active. To activate your RFID Tap Tag:
The letter has a QR code printed on it. Scan the QR code to get started.
If you lost the letter, or the QR code is not working, open the app and navigate to Profile > Tap Tag charge cards > Activate my Tap Tag.
Enter the ID on the front of your Tap Tag and confirm. Make sure to include the dash "-" in the ID.
You're all set! Your Tap Tag is ready to use.
What should I do if my Tap Tag is not working?
If your Tap Tag is not working properly, it's important to test your RFID Tag before reaching out to support via the app.
Test your Tap Tag on multiple chargers
Attempt to use your Tap Tag with more than one charger. This helps rule out the possibility of a faulty scanner on a specific charger. If your Tap Tag works on other chargers, the issue might be with the first charger you tested.
Deactivating and replacing a Tap Tag
If your Tap Tag was lost, stolen or not working, you should deactivate it immediately and order a new one. You can do this in the Tap app.
Profile > Tap Tag charge cards
Select the Tap Tag you want to deactivate or replace.
Deactivate your current Tap Tag.
If lost/stolen, confirm the delivery address. Navigate to Profile > Subscriptions > Edit address if you need to update it.
Request a new Tap Tag. A new Tap Tag will be shipped to you after completing this process.
Your old Tap Tag is now deactivated and we will ship a new Tag straight away.
