go-e onboarding guide

Easily connect and configure your go-e charger to Tap Electric’s free charger management platform with this guide.

Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap's charger backoffice. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.

To connect go-e chargers, you will need access to the go-e app.

1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger

2. Select go-e.

3. Copy your unique URL from the Tap app or webportal.

4. Open the go-e app.

5. In the go-e app, navigate to: Settings > Connection > OCPP > OCPP Server

6. Paste the URL you copied from Tap into the box at the top of the OCPP Server screen.

7. Ensure "WSS" is selected for the Protocol. Ensure "Append SN to URL" is checked.

8. Click "Save changes".

11. Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
