This guide describes how to onboard Delta chargers with Tap.
Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
To connect Delta chargers, you will need access to the charger interface locally. If you need help connecting the charger to the internet and accessing the Delta WebUI for the first time, you can find more instructions in this manual from Delta:
In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger
Select Delta.
Copy the URL provided.
Connect to the charger interface from your device and login.
If you are using a Tap SIM card:
- Navigate to: Interfaces > GPRS
- Set Enable to "True"
- In "APN", enter "Tapelectric". Click Save.
Navigate to OCPP from the main menu.
Set Enable to "True". Click Save.
Set Version to "OCPP16J". Click Save.
Navigate to ConnectionParameters from the OCPP settings.
In CsAddress, paste the URL you copied from the Tap app. Click Save. Click back.
Navigate to DeviceParameters from the OCPP settings.
Set chargeBoxIdentity to your BoxID. Click Save.
Navigate to PlugParameters.
Assign a connector ID to each plug according to the charger tech specifications. Save each one.
Go back to the main menu and navigate to Authentication.
Set AuthorizationMaster to "OCPP". Click Save.
Click on AllowedAuthMethods and set RFID to "True". Click Save.

Go back to the main menu and click Reboot Device.
Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
