Volt Time onboarding guide

Easily connect and configure your Volt Time chargers to Tap Electric’s free platform. Get chargers online and start managing with this guide

Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.

1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new chargers


2. Select Volt Time.

3. Copy your unique URL from the Tap app or webportal.

4. Navigate to cloud.volttime.com and log in.

5. Go to "Chargers" on the lefthand menu.

6. Click on "view" for the charger in question.

7. Go to the "Proxy (Backoffice)" tab.

8. Click "add server"

9. Input the URL you copied in the Tap app.

10.Set Tap as "Leader" and Volt Time as "Follower".

11. Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
