Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap's charger backoffice. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
To connect a Siemens VersiCharge, you will need a login for the Siemens Sifinity app. You can find a manual for this on their website.
Login to the Siemens Sifinity app and follow the steps to connect your charger. You can either do this by scanning the Siemens QR code, by entering the charger serial number, or connecting to the charger's wifi.
Connect the charger to the internet. This can be done either via Wifi, Ethernet (wired), or Cellular (SIM card). If you don't have your own SIM card, Tap can supply this to you.
Once you have onboarded the charger and connected to the internet, you will reach the Charger Settings page. In Charger Group Code, enter "tapelectric".
Finish the commissioning in the Sifinity app, then click "Finish commissioning".
Open the Tap Electric app.
Navigate to Locations > connect new charger
Select Siemens.
Enter the charger ID of your Siemens VersiCharge and click ok.
After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
