SCU Sicon onboarding guide

Easily connect and configure your Sicon chargers to Tap Electric’s free charger management platform with this guide.

Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap's charger backoffice. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.

Note for UK users: the UK representative for SCU is BlueEV. They can be contacted for any questions regarding these chargers.

1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new chargers


2. Select Sicon.

3. Copy your unique URL from the Tap app or webportal.

4. Enter mainetenance mode on the charger interface. Click "CSU".

5. Navigate to Charger Settings > Back Office > Domain. Paste the URL you copied from Tap and click Submit.

6. Navigate to Functional. Turn on "Manual Charging". Click submit.

7. 11. Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
