Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap's charger backoffice. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
To connect Huawei chargers, you will need a Huawei account in the Huawei FusionSolar app.
1. In the Tap app: Locations > connect new charger
2. Select Huawei.
3. Copy your unique URL from the Tap app or webportal.
4. Open the Huawei FusionSolar app.
5. Select Services.
6. Select Device Commissioning.
7. Connect to the charger’s Wi-Fi. Once connected, click Log in.
8. Select Installer (instead of User).
9. Enter the password (the default is Changeme, after which a new password must be chosen).
10. Navigate to: Maintenance > Third-Party Management System > Select OCPP Settings.
13. Select Comm Parameters and choose the following options:
Connect to the management platform → Domain name
Management platform provider → tap
Domain name → ocpp.tapelectric.app
Path → paste the unique code you copied from the Tap app
Port → 80
Leave username and password blank
14. Press Confirm.
15. Select Verification mode → Unsecured transmission with basic authentication.

15. Return to the Tap app. After a minute the charger should appear and you can proceed with onboarding.
