Onboarding in this context means getting the charger communicating with Tap's charger backoffice. If you are looking for a complete guide for setting up an account and configuring your locations, see our Quick Start Guide.
Before You Start
Before beginning the installation, please make sure the following items are ready:
● The Humax Installer App is installed on your mobile device.
● The PIN code included with the charger.
● The network information that the charger will connect to.
⚠ Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported.
5GHz networks cannot be used for charger connectivity.
Copy the Backoffice Path from the Tap App or Web Portal
1. Open the Tap app and select Locations > Connect New Charger.
2. Select Humax.
3. Copy the unique Backoffice Path from the Tap app or web portal.
4. Open the Humax Installer App and sign in.
Connect to the Charger Using the Humax Installer App
Open the Humax Installer App and sign in.
Go to the Charger tab and search for the charger you want to connect to Tap.
Tap Search Charger to scan for nearby chargers via Bluetooth.
Select the charger you want to connect to Tap from the search results and enter the charger's PIN code.
3. Enter the charger's network information and apply the settings.
Any firmware OTA update offered after the network configuration step is optional and may be skipped if required.
4. On the Connect Operator Service screen, select Tap from the dropdown menu.
5. Paste the Backoffice Path copied from the Tap app or web portal.
6. Click Connect.
Verify the Connection in the Tap App
Return to the Tap app. After approximately one minute, the charger should appear in the charger list.
Once the charger is displayed, continue with the remaining onboarding steps in Tap.
